Application Criteria

  • The Bergos Air Program

The Bergos Artist in Residence – AIR – Program was created to support young talented artists in their early careers.

Over the course of one year, Bergos is committed to provide you with a wide range of resources to help you thrive as a professional artist. This includes a monthly financial allowance and access to Bergos’ network.

As each artist is unique and with different needs, we aim to tailor the program to your individual challenges and aspirations. You will therefore have the opportunity to select one from five different modules, each designed to support different creative and careers objectives. The module chosen will provide a clear focus throughought the year and shape your residency.

Module 1: Content Creation and Digital Presence

This module is designed to enhance your online visibility by focusing on creative content and digital strategies. Depending on your needs, this could include producing a professional music video, developing behind-the-scenes content to showcase your artistic journey, or designing digital marketing campaigns to increase your reach. Workshops on social media management can also be offered to help you optimize and grow your digital presence.

Module 2: Live Performance and Engagement

This module focuses on enhancing your live performance skills and expanding your network. It offers opportunities to perform in curated spaces where you can share your art and engage with your audience. You will also receive guidance on the logistics of organizing performances, dealing with venues, and promoting your events.

Module 3: Professional Development and Entrepreneurial Mindset

This module is designed to support your growth as a professional artist and introduce you to entrepreneurial skills that are essential to the development of your creative career. You could gain valuable insights and guidance from our previous AIR artists and contacts from the bank’s network: their practical advice can provide a helpful foundation to build a sustainable, successful artistic journey. Personalized career coaching can also be provided, focusing on key areas like long-term career planning, financial management, budgeting, and contract negotiations, helping you develop the entrepreneurial mindset needed for a successful artistic career.

Module 4: Recording and Production Support

This module is designed to assist you in refining and producing your music. It may include funding for one or two studio sessions to help you record new tracks or refine existing ones to engage new audiences. You will also have the chance to expand your creative network through collaborations with fellow musicians, songwriters, and producers.

Module 5: Visual and Branding Enhancement

This module focuses on strengthening your visual identity and artist branding. You could receive professional graphic design services to create compelling album art, merchandise, or promotional materials that reflect your artistic vision. The module can also assist in developing a strategic plan for your website, connecting you with web designers to create and manage engaging content.
