A musical and sonic experience of a very special kind.

After the award-winning success of Sebastian Knauer’s “ÜBERBACH”, last performed live on stage at the Elbphilharmonie in October 2021, the pianist and Echo Klassik award winner now presents with a German premiere the new piano concerto composed for him also by Arash Safaian – “THIS IS (NOT) BEETHOVEN”. The work, written in variation form, carries famous themes of Ludwig van Beethoven into the music – and sound world of today. The piece has already been heard millions of times worldwide in streaming and now comes on stage with a large cast in the Elbphilharmonie. One of the varied themes comes from the famous 7th Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, which is one of the most beautiful works of classical music and will also be heard on this evening. This masterpiece will be interpreted by one of Germany’s great orchestras, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, under the baton of the world-renowned conductor Marc Albrecht, whose career got off to a successful start in the Hanseatic city many years ago, and who was recently awarded the Opus Klassik as “Conductor of the Year 2021”. Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” completes this unique evening.

Due to a limited number of tickets, we kindly ask for your understanding that applications will be considered in the order of their arrival.
