Medical devices can assist in the treatment of many conditions. They are products, services or solutions that prevent, diagnose, monitor, and improve people’s quality of life. Per definition, it can be an instrument, apparatus like a surgical robot, appliance, software, implant, material or other. They can play a range of roles, ranging from wheelchairs to cardiac pacemakers and medical imaging technologies such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners, X-ray machines, and CT.
